Once a town where the Croatian kings were crowned, Biograd na Moru presents not only the centre of tourism but also of sailing in the very centre of the Adriatic coast. Biograd became a very pleasant town, located on the peninsula and surrounded by modern marinas and a beach which gives unforgettable view of one of the most picturesque straits Pasman Chanel and islands scattered around. Interesting geographical position in the centre of the Adriatic coast close to national and natural parks, with a long tourist tradition, as well as the rich tourist, cultural, sports and catering offers, are only some of the reasons why you should choose Biograd as a starting point of your sailing vacation.

Biograd na Moru is a Croatian imperial city, mentioned in the history as early as 10th century and already in the 11th century it became the seat of Croatian kings and bishops. The most thriving period Biograd achieved as a capital of medieval Croatian rulers, and in 1102. it crowned the Croatian-hungarian king Koloman. A very interesting county museum shows numerous materials on rich history of this region.


Thanks to its magnificent geographical position in the central part of the Adriatic and a great number of moorings (1000) in the modern marinas “Kornati” and “Sangulin”, a great offer of sailing and motor boats for charter and a great number of regattas, Biograd has become a meeting-place of sailors from around the world. Nautical offer is completed by a little port with a “hotel + mooring” service which after your sailing trip gives you an opportunity to stay a couple of days longer and enjoy beautiful ambient offered by Biograd and its surroundings.


Swimming in pristine sea is possible only hundreds of meters from the city centre, where you could find pebble and sandy beaches in the shades of hundred year old pine trees, and for those who prefer secluded places we recommend the wooded islands in Pasman channel. In Biograd there is a beach for everyone!


The vicinity of national parks at the sea (Islands of Kornati), mountains (Velebitska Paklenica), river (Slapovi Krke) and lakes (Plitvice), natural parks (Dugootočna Telaščica) and Lake Vransko, rich in fresh water fish, inhabited by swamp birds, and many islands in the beautiful Pasman Channel, offer guests many possibilities for picnics in the region considered one of the prettiest areas in Croatia. The nearby historical towns Zadar, Sibenik and Nin will give you an interesting insights into rich Croatian cultural heritage.

Our fleet is located in charter marina Kornati in Biograd, Croatia. It is only 35 km from the Zadar airport, that is 100 km from the Split airport. Marina Kornati has about 450 moorings in the sea and about 100 on land. Marina has also a service centre with cranes of 10 and 50 tonnes, with their maximal breadth of slipways 7m.
